Let’s Make a Sweet Chain through the great music!をイベントコンセプトにTOKYO No.1 SOUL SET/THE ZOOT16の渡辺俊美がBangkok５箇所の会場で、音楽イベントを開催。

観光業の一部に混乱が生じるも、居住者や観光客への影響はほどんどありませんでした。一方、タイ国政府観光庁（TAT）は、メディアや旅行業者に対して最新情報を提供するとともに、旅行者向けの見本市やイベントは当初の予定通りに実施されることを確認しています。
タイ国政府は政治的混乱収束に向け、4月10日から14日にかけ早期の正常化にむけた段階的な治安状況回復に努めた結果、武力行使に訴えることなく、反独裁民主同盟（UDD）の解散に至りました。
タイ国政府観光庁（TAT）マーケティング広報担当副総裁ジュタポーン・ルーングロンアーサーは、「現在、バンコクとパタヤの情勢は正常に戻っており、全ての観光地、イベント、交通機関、サービスは通常通り機能している。旅行者は、タイ国観光最新情報サイト(http://tourismthailand.org/thailandtourismupdate/)より、観光最新情報を入手することが出来る。また当庁では、正確かつ最新のあらゆる情報を旅行者に提供することにより、旅行に関するコミュニティ・サイト上での旅行者からの問合わせにも対応している」と語っています。
タイ国に拠点を置くジャーナリスト、スティーブン・クリアリー氏は、バンコクを除くプーケットやチェンマイを訪れている旅行者は、今回の事態に全く気付いておらず、また、バンコクを訪問している旅行者も、今回の問題とはかけ離れたところにいると報じています。クリアリー氏は、「今回の混乱は、政府と特定の集団との国内問題によるものであり、観光を妨害する意図はない。デモ隊は、実際、タイ国にいる観光客や駐在員の安全を脅かすことなく、排除された。緊迫した様子のなかにあっても、旅行者はバンコクにおける抗議活動を気にせず、旅行を満喫していた。」と述べています。
タイで最も大きなオンライン旅行会社のひとつ、ホテルタイランドドットコム（www.hotelthailand.com） のオーナー、李山道氏は、以下の通り、旅行者が十分な情報を得たうえで、当初の予定通り旅行計画を継続する意思を示していると述べています。「これまでのところ、渡航を延期しようとしていた旅行者は、すでに当初の予約をコンファームしている。また、旅行をオンライン予約する個人手配旅行者（ＦＩＴ）は、あらゆるチャネルから情報を更新していたため、ほとんど混乱をきたすことは無かった。さらに、バンコクとパタヤを除くタイ国内のエリアでは、訪れる観光客数には影響は出ておらず、また、バンコクとパタヤについても、3％程度の微減に留まった。」
また、タイ国政府観光庁副総裁は、トレードショーおよびロードショーといった海外でのアクティビティを当初の予定通り実施すると明言しています。5月のアラビアン・トラベル・マーケット（ATM）、6月アジア・ラグジュアリー・トラベル・マーケット（ALTM）、7月インディアン・インターナショナル・トラベル・マート（IITM）、4月、5月、8月にそれぞれ実施される韓国、ニュージーランド、オーストラリア、インドネシアにおけるアメージング・タイランド・ロードショーがそれに該当します。加えて、直近で予定されているタイ国内でのイベントも、通常通り開催します。これらのイベントには、5月のタイランド・トラベル・ゴルフ・エキスポ、6月タイランド・トラベル・マート・プラス2009、2009年6月から8月に実施されるアメージング・タイランド・グランド・セールも含まれています。
パタヤ、バンコク、プーケットでの観光客に対するインタビューでは、政治的混乱が旅行にほとんど影響を及ぼしていない様子を語っています。

・バンコクの道路の状況も平常どおり。またバス全線とバンコク出発/到着の鉄道も通常運行。
・また観光業に関連するタイ国内の空港や国鉄全線また高速道路も平常通り。タイ
国内の他の地域への旅行は安全であり、これまでどおり、旅行を行える。
・タイ国内の多様な観光地およびショッピングエリアも平常通り。観光客もこれま
でと同様に観光、食事、さまざまな体験を楽しめる。さらなる観光情報はTATコールセンター1672（タイ国内から）へ。
・非常事態宣言発令下、バンコクでは5人以上の集会が禁じられているが、これ
は市民の不安を煽るような政治的活動に限られている。

SITUATION UPDATE IN THAILAND

・The situation in Bangkok has returned to normal. Residents and visitors to Thailand are enjoying the Songkran Thai New Year celebrations throughout the Thai kingdom, including in Bangkok.
バンコクの情勢は、平常に戻る。在タイ住民およびタイへの訪問者は、バンコクを含むタイ全土で、ソンクラン祭り（タイ旧正月）を享受している。
・The Thai Government has also declared April 16 and 17 (Thursday and Friday) public holidays, thereby extending the Songkran festive holiday.
タイ政府は、4月16、17両日を休日とし、それによりソンクラン祭りも延長している。
・On 14 April, the leaders of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) called off their anti-government protests. By mid-afternoon, all of the protestors had dispersed.
4月14日、反独裁民主戦線（ＵＤＤ）の指導者がの指導者が反政府活動の中止を宣言した。同日正午までに、すべてのデモ隊が解散した。
・Shopping malls in Bangkok re-opened as of 13.00 hrs on 14 April and have continued to operate on a normal schedule since.
バンコク市内のショッピングモールが同日午後13:00に営業を再開し、通常通りの営業を続けている。
・Hotels throughout the country are operating as normal.
タイ全土のホテルは通常通り営業をおこなっている。
・The BTS SkyTrain, subway services, public utilities and communication services continue to operate uninterrupted.
ＢＴＳスカイトレイン（高架鉄道）、地下鉄、公共施設および通信サービスは通常通り運営を続けている。
・All roads in Bangkok are now open to traffic. Bus services on all routes and the train service to/from Bangkok have resumed.
バンコクの全道路が開通。バスの全路線、バンコク発着の鉄道も営業を再開している。
・All other travel-related infrastructure and services, including all airports, train services throughout the country, and roadways are operating as normal and all other parts of Thailand are safe for travel and tourists can still visit other destinations and attractions.
全国の空港、鉄道、道路といった旅行に関連するインフラおよびサービスも通常通り運行されている。タイのその他の地域は安全に旅行をすることができ、また、旅行者はその他の目的地および観光地を安心して訪れることが可能である。

・Under the emergency decree, the prohibition of public gatherings of more than five people in Bangkok is limited to political activities and acts which may lead to unrest.
非常事態宣言下、バンコクにて5名以上の集会が禁止されているが、不安を煽る政治的な活動に限定されている。
・The measure does not in any way apply to Songkran celebrations and festivities, the organization of local and international corporate meetings, incentive events, conventions, and exhibitions, or MICE. It is 'business-as-usual' for all MICE events hosted in Thailand.
ソンクラン祭り、地方機関および国際的な会議、インセンティブ、コンベンション、ＭＩＣＥは、この措置の適用外である。タイ国内においておこなわれるすべてのＭＩＣＥ関連イベントについては、通常通り実施される。
・The Emergency Decree is only a temporary measure. Representatives from Thailand’s travel and tourism-related trade associations are scheduled to meet with the Thai government on 17 April to discuss the lifting of the Emergency Decree at the earliest possible time.
非常事態宣言は、一時的な措置であり、近日中に解除される予定である。
4月17日、タイ旅行業および観光業に関連する機関の代表者とタイ政府が会合を持ち、非常事態宣言の解除の日程について話し合う。
・Note:
Following the safe departure of the ASEAN leaders on 11 April (Saturday), the state of emergency for Pattaya and Chon Buri province was lifted soon after 19.00 hrs. on the same day.
補足：
4月11日（土）のＡＳＥＡＮ指導者の安全な避難の完了を受け、パタヤおよびチョンブリに発令されていた非常事態宣言は、同日19:00に解除されている。

・The situation in Bangkok has greatly improved within the last 24 hours.

・The situation in Bangkok has greatly improved within the last 24 hours.
この24時間でバンコクの状況は好転した。
・The leaders of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) called off their anti-government protests around noon today. The protestors, including those at the main demonstration site around the Government House, have dispersed.
14日正午頃、UDD（反独裁民主同盟）幹部はデモを中止した。官邸周辺をはじめ集結していたデモ隊は随時撤退した。
・Most of the shopping malls in Bangkok re-opened this afternoon.

SITUATION UPDATE IN THAILAND
TOURISM AUTHORITY OF THAILAND FACT SHEET
As of 12 April, 2009/ 14.30 hrs. (Bangkok Time)
・On 12 April 2009, H.E. Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Prime Minister declared a state of emergency in Bangkok and the provinces of Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Prakan and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The declaration of the state of emergency was in accordance with the rule of law and the constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand. H.E. Mr. Suthep Thaugsuban, the Deputy Prime Minister, will be in charge of the security measures.
4月12日アピシット首相はバンコクとその周辺、ノンタブリ、ナコンパトム、サムットプラカーン、プラナコンシアユタヤ県に非常事態宣言を発令した。憲法および法治に基づくものである。ステープ副首相が治安安全対策にあたる。
・Thailand’s emergency decree is consistent with democratic principles and international human rights standards. The government will continue to exercise utmost restraint and will work with all concerned to resolve the current political situation within the framework of the Thai constitution and the rule of law, especially through the adoption of non-violent means of conflict resolution and peaceful negotiation. There are no wider implications, such as a curfew, at present.
タイ国の緊急発令は民主主義と人道的見地によるものである。政府は抑制のため最大限の行使にあたり、関係機関とともにタイ憲法のもと、特に非暴力手段による解決と平和的交渉で政治問題解決をはかる。戒厳令のような更なる強硬手段は考えられていない。
